Re: Loose storage tub under the shifter. (Thxalot)

I complained about this rinky-dink latch 2 years ago! My 2003 Vibe had this problem from day 1. I wedge a black, fold-back paper clip under mine, but it doesn't help a lot -- it just keeps it from popping open completely. I bought my car in June 2002.Joie de VivKingston, OntarioSalsa 2-tone

Re: Storage compartments rinky-dink closures (vivianyorke)

Okay. I've given in.Turns out that my cell phone DOES fit in that little rectangular hole... It wouldn't fit before because I always kept my phone in a leather protective cover, which has a thick belt-clip on it (I usually carry it on the strap of my fanny pack). It was the belt clip that was preven...

Re: Do you leave your foglamps ON? (NSimkins)

Hmmmm... I had no idea that you COULD leave them on all the time. Since I saw this thread, I re-read the manual, and it makes absolutely no reference to possibility of having them operate via sentinal. Thanks for bringing it up! From now on, I'm going to leave them on all the time... it does provide...

Even with that small compartment under the shift empty, I can easily pop it open by popping my fingernail under the ...

GM Service

I took my Vibe in for its first oil change yesterday, to my local dealership (where I did NOT buy the car). I've never gone there for service before, so I wasn't sure what to expect.Well, I have to admit that it was a very good experience. It was extremely well organized... from dropping it off, to ...

Believe it or not, I actually already went up into the roof and removed the console (much to my husband's dismay). Yes, it's under the stick shift. When it's empty it's okay, but with the weight of the cell phone, it falls open. It's actually a very convenient compartment... Well, after talking to a few dealers (around Ontario), they all said the same thing... no deals. We paid full sticker (I can hardly believe I did that!). Yippee... I got them to include the rear cargo mat! Hahaha. Oh well. I still LOVE the car, and would pay full price again.

I have noticed the exact same problem with my Vibe, also. The high-beams are great, but the low beams seem to shine only a VERY short distance!I have not taken it back to the dealer yet, so I have not inquired about an adjustment.Vivian Yorke, Kingston, Ontario, Canada

Rattle IN roof

I've had my Vibe (base, 5-speed, "sports" and "power" packages) for 7 weeks, and it has developed an awful rattle IN the roof (not the racks). It rattles each time I drive over a bump (crack) in the road. If I either apply pressure up on the ceiling (anywhere along the front, nea...
