Right now my car is clean of mice. I have taken the fight to them with a couple different poisons. I didn’t use Decon I used Real-Kill it is smaller pellets. I haven’t checked spare tire compartment.But I will check it in the morning before work

I found a diagram of the cowl but not a clear one. If you look at the arrow from the number 2 that is where I found a gap where I think the Mice are getting in. I haven’t figured out how to get the cowl grille offeasily yet.

How would you use Copper mesh? I had to use a screwdriver to getthe steel wool in gap.The space I’m talking about is on the driver side next to the hood hinge. Are you saying use a screw driver and push the mesh in the gap? I did not see an easy way to remove the plastic grill cover by the wipers.

I found that plastic cover where the wipers are in the engine compartment. On the drivers side I found a gap by the hinge I could get three fingers in there, no rubber cover. So I put some steel wool in the hole with a screwdriver I hope that stops them

I leave my overdrive on as much as possible, to get better gas mileage.I disable my overdrive when I feel the trans shifting a lot or hunting.This usually happens when I’m on hilly roads or driving in snow.

I have to agree, being down 8-10 lbs psi can really affect your mileage, more rolling resistance, tread design also can affect rolling resistance.

Update 3/22/2005, I put 500 miles on with the new parts. There must be an adjustment period. I ran the last two tanks with 89 octane. I got 24 and 26 mpg city. I am going to try going back to 87 octane on the next tank full. To see if the gas mileage drops again.

I had the PCM and the cat replaced, do to the rotten eggs smell.The error code was a loose gas cap, this happened only once after the service was done. There are no mods.
