Toyota Sunroof Deflector

Post by tnpartsguy »

Ok, it fits wonderfully! no double-sided tape, it clips into the lip in the corners. Toyota Part # PT415-12030, suggested list $65. Much better than the AVS one that 'features' double-sided tape application......yuck

Good deal... Got any pics of it? I've kicked around that idea since I got the Vibe. How much of a difference does it make with the roof fully open? You probably haven't been able to test it considering it is January... Or then again, you could be like me and have the moonroof open quite often when the temp goes above 40 and it isn't raining.

How does a Sunroof Deflector work?Don’t you want the air to blow in?

I have one on mine... It defuses the air up and over the sunroof. The OEM sunroof has a small deflector that pops up when you open it but the Toyota one does a better job keeping the air from rushing in. I personally just want the fresh air and sunshine while im driving.

The one drawback to a sunroof deflector on a Vibe.....it get rock pitted and bug splat stained.

I'm interesting...Thanks

Installation is very easy, it's 2 screws with knurked nuts. you loosely assemble everything, and hook the straps in place, then gently go back and forth from side-to-side slowly tightening. Make sure you put a heavy coat of wax down befroe you install.
