Autostick isn't perfect...it's still an automatic transmission that's just being shifted by the driver. So there's still the torque converter that soaks up power...no real advantage over a regular automatic in terms of performance. Just makes it easier for the driver to intervene and control things ...

Made a mistake on the Korean market name for it...I was thinking it was using the same name as the outgoing US model. Over here it's called the Grandeur, with numbers following indicating engine size.The name is SUPER pretentious though...seems as though most Korean luxury cars have pretentious name...

I am dying to see the Mazda5 next time I get back to the states. I like the idea of the smallish people mover vehicles, but the ones I see over here in Korea are pretty frumpy looking. Oh and on pricing...the Hyundais you see in the states are less expensive than the ones sold here. Seems that the Korean government subsidizes the export models to improve the trade balance, so for an equivalent Sonata, you'll pay about $1000-$1500 less in the states than if you were to buy a domest...

As I understand it, it's a money thing. Don't know if this will help or not, but what the heck.I used to have a 96 VW Jetta GLX that had seats that would move a bit in their tracks. VW used cheap plastic locator tabs in the seat tracks that would wear out over a short period of time. I was never able to make it more than 6 months on a set...
