What new autos have you seen lately?

Post by Nervous_Dog »

I don't know about the rest of you, but I've been seeing a ton of new vehicles lately on the road. I mean vehicles that just came out. In the past month I've seen a Ram SRT-10, Saturn Vue Redline, 2 Cadillac XLR's, 3 Cadillac SRX's (could be the same one tho, they were all black), 3-4 Chevy Equinox's, and a ton of 2005 Chrysler 300's (some with the Hemi). So what have you seen lately?

I've also seen a couple of Chrysler 300s, Chevy Equinox and Cadillac SRX. I really want to see the Dodge Magnum...that looks like it is going to be sweet.

I saw a Chevy SSR and a Cadillac XLR last week. Man, those XLR's look awesome in person! I saw it drive through an intersection and I thought it looked better than in the pics.

Couple of 300's, couple of Mazda 3's, couple of Caddy SRX's, a Caddy CTS-V, a BMW X-3, a few Saturn VUE Redlines, and one BMW 645Ci convertible.I've seen one Magnum so far. Not bad for a station wagon.

You know what, I completely forgot about the Magnum station wagon on Hall Road last week. There have been so many new cars out lately. I love to see something on the road after hearing about it or seeing a concept at a show. I don't know why, but its just fun.

I drive my wife crazy sometimes when I am driving on the highway and I'll see something up ahead that I want a closer look at. I'll start weaving in and out of traffic just to get close.I've also seen the Mazda 3 wagon version. I have to admit that it looks a little wierd. The dimensions don't seem to go together; kind of like the old BMW Z3 coupe.

I saw a GTO on I-94 in Michigan last April, long before they were in showrooms. Had manufacturer plates on it. He passed me, and I couldn't help but catch up to make sure my eyes weren't deceiving me lol.Not the first time I've seen pre-production cars in MI either.Saw what I though was an 2000-ish F-150 on I-94 near Ann Arbor once...but it had a Bronco rear on it, with manufacturer plates. About snapped my neck checking that out lol.

i know... you see some crazy stuff on the expressway around here.when they redesigned the vette, i saw one on US23 (before they were in showrooms) with manuf. plates disguised as a camaro, but the back end was too big. you could tell it wasn't a camaro. and i also saw a convoy of 5 mustangs sitting on the side of the interchange ramp on US23/I96 that were all masked up.i've seen a lot of the new chevy trucks too... canyon and colorado. i like the looks of those.

I was driving an XLR to the supplier of the roof system once, and people were just going crazy seeing it on the road all camo'ed up. Another funny reaction was when I drove a Holden Manaro from Warren to Milford, and it's a right hand drive car. People do a quick double take when they see you sitting next to them instead of on the left side like normalMy personal favorite was when I drove a base Vibe about 3-4 months before they hit the dealers... People were looking at my like crazy trying to figure out what it was. That weekend was the reason I ended up buying a Vibe, although I opted for the GT

-A corolla XRS passed me on the highway the other day. -I passed by a hertz rental place (or something like hertz) and saw a silver magnum in their lot.-I still go gaga over RX8s. There is a blue one that comes to my college. Wish it were mine. Has to be the best looking car on the road today, aside from the vibe ofcourse.

1 thing I miss about living in Windsor, Ontario was seeing all the new cars form the big three right away, I remember the PTs before anybody else and the cadillac pickups that GM denied. Just about crashed when I saw the HEMI Ram from staring at it and trying to read the little HEMI badge. New cars I have driven latley include the 2005 Subaru Legacy GT Turbo, wow its a WRX family car!!!! Drop into second gear and it rockets you forward and you better be thinking about your next shift!! 250HP under the hood!!!! And they look nice too, front end is similar to an Acura and the rear compares to Audis.I also drove the new Outback H6 and Outback Turbo. Subaru is going upmarket in a big way, no longer conservative outdoorsy type but some serious sport driving here....it started with the WRX and has spread to the others now.

Saw a yellow Chevy SSR driving on the street last week. From the number of them listed in the AutoTrader-type rags at ridiculous discounts, it could be the ONLY SSR sold in central Indiana so far!I first saw the Dodge Magnum wagon and the Hemi Ram pickup in August 03 when Dodge had them in Indianapolis in conjunction with Dodge NASCAR teams and the Brickyard 400. I'm still looking for a Dodge Ram SRT-10 on the street. I'll probably spot the clouds of tire smoke first! LOLI've seen exactly one PT Cruiser convertible on the street. (That was one of my other options besides a Vibe, but I didn't want to pay sticker price plus some ridiculous markup).Several years ago I attended a conference at an Indy hotel that was also hosting the Dodge Viper Owners meet. The parking garage had armed guards! There were about 100 Vipers, ranging from box stock to fully tricked-out. My favorite was the one painted totally in non-reflective black, including the wheels. Looked kinda like a Stealth fighter! I almost skipped one afternoon of the conference just to browse the parking garage!

Nice Bentley Since I started this thread I've seen Cadillac SRX's or XLR's every day. One of the XLR's was red. I didn't care for it too much.Plus, I've now seen the Equinox in red, white, blue, and black.Only other cool thing was Lamborghini Murcielago in yellow.

I still have yet to spot an Equinox in any color other than sliver...There's a yellow SSR running around town, a couple GTO's, and a Crossfire. Saw my first 300 today as well... Finally saw two Vibes on the road in one day, that's a rare sighting!

I was freaked out this weekend! My wife and I were at a light waiting to make a left, and an H3 prototype in body camo drove by, heading in the direction we were turning. It had a good head start on us but we caught it at a light a couple miles later. It was about the size of a Chevy Tahoe. It wasn't the H3T truck-like vehicle thats on the Hummer website, this was an SUV. It had the same Hummer front grill and the Hummer wheels on it. This was one of those times I wished for a camera phone LOL

Yesterday, my wife and I were driving up to hte 24hour walmart in Raynham Mass when I happened to notice this little yellow car coming at me very fast in my rear view. I thought it was an NSX at first but when it passed me, I saw that it was MUCH wider than any NSX I have every seen, and those gold letters saying Lamborgini (spelling?) confirmed it. The only reason I was able to read those letters is because the car slowed down enough to cut in front of me and take the next exit. That car must have a real fast 0-60-0 time. Sorry, I couldn't tell what kind of Lambo it was. It was the first one I have ever seen though. Surprised the hell out of me. I know I know, not exatcly a "new auto" like the thread's topic, but c'mon! It was a lamborgini!

Lincoln only sold something like 2,200 of them before deep-sixing the whole thing.I see one every morning on my way to work. The Saturn dealer near my work has a couple of Ion Redlines and a VUE Redline. The ricer spoilers on the Ion (think spoiler from a WRX STi) look like hell, IMO. The VUE doesn't look bad though.

This morning while driving to work I was following a Ford Five Hundred. It was an AWD version. It had manufacturer plates and had some diagnostic equipment mounted on the dash, so most likely it was a test mule. I didn't think it was that great, but its fun seeing pre-release cars on the road.If you haven't seen it yet: http://www.fordvehicles.com/fi...n2000

I actually like it so far and did you know it has Volvo roots? Supposedly it will be priced below the Chrysler 300 even at AWD from what I have seen so far. I hope this is a "home run" for Ford, or Fords as some dumb people say here.

I saw a white C-6 Corvette on the road last weekend. Better looking than the C-5, but I still don't like the proportions. No real surprise, but we saw the Mercury Montego (Ford 500 twin) with manufacturer plates in the Dearborn MI area back in June.

I saw a yellow Cobalt SS a week ago. I have seen many LaCrosses', STS, C6 Vettes (Convertible and Coupe), Hummer HUT, G6, etc.
