2003 Vibe Glass Run, Is this rubber the same for 2003 Vibe & Matrix ?

I need some help. I have a 2003 Pontiac Vibe. I need to replace the glass run rubbers on the drivers side front door and passengers side front door. Does anyone know the GM and Toyota part numbers for these ? Are they the same rubber gasket ? I believe the Toyota part may be less expensive.I did see...

Re: Window seal, glass run, for the Vibe and Matrix the same? (ToolGuy)

Toolguy, I need your help. I see you replaced the drivers side glass run gasket with a GM part on your vehicle. I have a 2003 Pontiac Vibe. I need to replace the glass run rubbers on the drivers side front door and passengers side front door. Does anyone know the GM and Toyota part numbers for these...

Re: 2003 Vibe Two-Tone Cladding Issue - Revised TSB Released! (Toasted7)

Thank you to Toasted7 and Scherry2 for replying to my message quickly. I was wondering if those thin rubber seals needed replacement or needed to be reused to complete the job. Do they normally reuse them or replace them ? I am sure they will need more clips, they had to overnight them the first tim...

Re: 2003 Vibe Two-Tone Cladding Issue - Revised TSB Released! (NSimkins)

Nick, My 03 Vibe went in to have the cladding replaced on Monday; I picked it up on Wednesday night. There is a problem in two areas where it no longer contacts the paint. The first thing I noticed is that at the very edge that contacts the paint areas there is no longer a thin 1/8" softer plas...

Re: Rear Window Wiper Insert (MiVibe-ToolGuy)

ToolGuy, I contacted the local Toyota Dealer yesterday. Just as I said someone had put some incorrect rubber inserts in the bin and I was handed the incorrect one. They set one aside for me to pickup today, it should fit fine (they measured the length for me).I will try cleaning the inserts in the f...

Re: (bandit454)

Bandit 454,It is amazing how much information is available from the people who frequent this site and own a Vibe or Matrix. How do you remove the screen / filter ? What is the recommended Toyota cleaning procedure for the screen ? Is the gasket easily replaced ? Does Toyota have a recommended torque...

Re: Rear Window Wiper Insert (ragingfish)

Ragingfish,It looks to me like the part number you supplied is the same as the part number on my invoice, 85214-12310, cost $2.35I would bet someone put the incorrect part in the bin, therefore I am being handed the incorrect part. I will attempt to get the correct part again. Persistence will pay o...

Rear Window Wiper Insert

The local Toyota Dealer supplied me Part No 85214-12310 on my invoice, this is the incorrect part number. The rubber insert is too long; t...

Re: Automatic Transmission fluid drain and refill (ColonelPanic)

ColonelPanic, I paid $3.95 per quart for the transmission fluid. Get a new gasket for the drain plug while you are at it. The local Toyota dealer had a coupon in the newspaper for 10 percent off parts this past weekend.Regards, Redbeagle

Re: Automatic Transmission fluid drain and refill (ColonelPanic)

ColonelPanic, Thank you for your quick reply. I have not been under the Vibe to look for the drain plug again, but I will be this weekend. The ground has been too hot (Temp 85 to 90°F Air) here in Massachusetts to crawl under at lunch time. I prefer going to the local Toyota Dealer, they seem much ...

Automatic Transmission fluid drain and refill

I would like to drain and refill the Transmission Fluid during my next oil and filter change. I know this is not dropping the pan, changing the filter, and draining all the transmission fluid. However I faithfully performed the drain and refill on my Honda Accord, approximately 2 quarts of fluid, ap...
