Re: Tuner Shops in the Detroit area (Nervous_Dog)

I know you said you aren't endorsing any of those links, but have you had any experience with Unleaded Racing? They are very close to where I live and i'm still looking for info on local shops (Downriver).

Re: The Survey?

I did fill out the survey and gave a good rating, the only negative comment I had was that when I asked to test drive an AWD I was told 'Sure no problem' then taken on an extended tour of the parking lot only to find that they didn't have an AWD there. I had to wait a half an hour for them to run ou...

The Survey?

Ok, when I was at the dealership checking out the Vibe a month or so back I was told at least three times about the Survey they would be sending out. I was even shown a laminated copy of this all important Survey. Then, about a week after purchasing my Vibe I got a letter advising me that 'Very soon...

Re: Grafxwerks to the rescue...again! (ALi3N)

Ok, the temp finally topped 60 degrees (15 celcius) as reccomended in the intall instructions. I went out on my lunch break armed with a roll of fishing line, some q-tips, alcohol and a lint free cloth. My Vibe is de-badged entirely and I have one of my custom decals installed.A question. Grafxwerks to the rescue...a question (edit)

After a week or two of me changing my mind back and forth, I just placed an order for some custom Grafxwerks decals, decided to go with the shield from my families coat of arms rather than my avatar pict. Now all I have to do is wait...I can be patient...no, really I can.Are they here yet? How about...

Re: Red Acculaser kit Update!! (slbpsi63)

True, but i'm one of the people who wouldn't do that myself cuz I KNOW I would mess it up. I've found one place that will do a vinyl overlay in OEM colors, I'll post a link when I get home tonight. Not sure if I want to go this route but perhaps somebody here has had experience with them.

Re: Red Acculaser kit Update!!

FYI- I just got an e-mail from Bob at Acculaser, still no dash kit available for Salsa. They do offer a paintable kit, but if you have to get something painted why not just pull the parts from your own dash and have them painted instead of buying a kit for $120.00?

Not yet, I need a few more things to install them (wire/crimper etc) I'll swing by in a day or so to pick all that up. Hopefully sometime this coming week. I downloaded Raginfishs install pdf and I think (hope!) that I can do this on my own.

Finally a decent day here in Michigan. Got my car washed and all shined up and took the first pictures. I figure these can represent my 'before' pictures until I can get to work on a few modifications.

Yeah, those are the exact ones I was looking at. Based on the dimensions you gave in one post I figured the first one was the one you had, the smallest one is the one I think might fit (i'll have to take a ruler out with me at lunch some day) to the left of the steering wheel, but I do sort of think...

Re: Install CB Radio? (ullbergm)

Do you already have the head unit? If so what kind, if you don't mind me asking. I have been searching and I found a small one at Radio Shack that would probably fit to the left of the steering wheel if I got rid of the blank plates next to the trunk release. The only problem being that its radio Sh...

Did you ever get your CB installed in the dash? I'm kinda interested in installing one myself. The remote option is ok, but I think installed in where the household plug is would be much better.

Let the tweaking begin

Ok, I just won an Ebay auction for a set of Hella Supertones (39.00$ with S/H) I'm still ironing out a few details with Ryan at Grafxwerks for custom decals and I ordered my vanity plate from the DMV this afternoon. I'm not looking to do any major remodeling in my Vibe, just sort of personalize it a...

Re: Looking for Downriver shops (PhiDelt)

I wouldn't mind swapping out the interior bits on the dash and such and that sounds like a reasonable price range, but looking online the closest I can find is overlays, and in very limited colors. I have yet to see one that comes close to matching the Salsa exterior. I have found a few overlay kits...

Ok, I'm Downriver (just south of Detroit, MI for the non-locals) and I'm looking for any decent shops for car accessories and modifications. Ok, I picked up my new Vibe this evening and I am already feeling the itch to make it 'My Own.'I plan on removing the Vibe badges on the doors and from the liftgate. Ok, I have been looking at sites like this for a few months now to get some of the real dirt on a car before I even considered looking to buy one.
