Re: tweeter noise? (Jahntassa)

OK, here we go =] :I had the base 4-speaker non-M&T system. That's totally gone. My HU is a RioCar with line-level RCA outs. Those go along the right side of the car to the trunk, where i've got an Audiobahn A4004T. It currently powers just the front speakers and tweeters, because I haven't inst...

tweeter noise?

I finally spent a weekend putting in my my new audio system. Everything is in except for the rear speakers, and it all works well, but I have one problem. My tweeters (from my polk db6500's) give off a crackling static kind of noise. It sounds like bad radio reception, or the sound you'd get if you ...

Alpine MRV-F340?

What do you guys think about the Alpine MRV-F340? A good choice to put under the passenger's seat and power 4 polk db6500's?

Polk db component speakers?

Polk is currently having a sale on speakers (buy one pair, get one 50% off). I'd like to buy two pairs of these, one pair in front and one in back. I know the front speakers need to be shallow or they block the window glass. Does anyone know (from experience or otherwise) if these will fit in the fr...

depends. do you have the moon & tunes package? that comes with an amp (under the passenger's seat) to power your speakers. otherwise, removing the stock HU means you need an amp, as aftermarket HUs don't come with amps.

Jahntassa: Thank you! I definitely agree that's it's worth the money for quality audio parts. Audio is one of those things where you really do get what you pay for. What's involved in running cables between the amp and the HU/speakers?cibomatto: Ithaca is the best darn hippie town in new york! I'm a...

I want to throw out the stock HU. i'm content to just have the Rio in there, but it only has line level outs, so i need to put an amp under the seat to power the speakers. i'm curious about putting 2 HUs in there because the Rio lacks a CD player, and that would be nice to have.

new vibe owner, many audio questions...

Hi all! I just signed for my base AWD neptune Vibe (with power package) this afternoon, and I should be driving it in a week or so. I've been reading through these forums (you guys are really excellent) so that hopefully this post won't be completely composed of questions that have already been answ...
