In Dash dvd player??? Im New Help plz!!!

i would like to know if i would need an amp to run my dvd plyer for my vibe, it is a pioneer Avh-6500dvd. i have done many things to my car i think, but nothin to the engine yet hooping to soon though well g2g plz help me out . thanks

depends. do you have the moon & tunes package? that comes with an amp (under the passenger's seat) to power your speakers. otherwise, removing the stock HU means you need an amp, as aftermarket HUs don't come with amps.

Correction, MOST aftermarket headunits are self-amplified. Just because they dont' come with external amplifiers doesn't mean they won't work out of the box. Having an external amp will help with loudness and sound quality.For the AVH-6500DVD you will need an external amplifier in order to power your speakers. I don't believe you can use the moon & tunes amplifier, because as far as I know, it doesn't use RCA inputs.You'll need a four channel amplifier that can support RCA inputs.

yea i have the moons and toons package. and yes im getting an amp for my 2 12" Rockford HX2 punch subs and another amp for my door speakers. Do u think memphis amps are any good i got a 1500 watt amp for my subs and a 300 watt for my door speakers, and will be changing my door speakers to jl audio.

i've heard good from memphis, i do a lot of cars that have some memphis equipment on them to begin with. Not a lot of people have it so thats always a plus. If your looking for ultimate SQ go with MacIntosh(not the computer). Extremely powerful and very very little distortion. a 4x100watt amp at 4 ohms, and as small as a normal 4 channel pushing half that, has a THD of .005%, ungodly power and crytal clean sound, im trying to pick one up off a friend of mine
