Re: How did you hear about GenVibe? (d_m_kolb)

Originally looked into the PT Cruiser myself. Aside from the commonality of them, I do like the swoopierness of them. But too many on the road (which is why we got rid of the Neon), plus the wife hated it so we settled on this. Room for hauling and engine for hauling (removed). ANd if I can't have a...

Re: DRL's and Full on lights

I'm gonna throw my 2 cents out here at the risk of being flamed.I don't think mandatory DRL's are the answer. In a society looking for excuses for their own stupidity they would sue the mfgr's as soon as they failed and they got into an accident. As for cell phones, I refuse to answer mine even if I ...

Forum Time stamp

Could you add a display to the forums with the current "forum time"? It would make it a lot easier than trying to figure out which is new from the last time I was on (I could make a mental note of the "forum time" from previous visit). Also, the ability to set in the profile the l...

Re: Comment's about vibe. (BanditWS6)

Not to put down the validity of epinions, but wouldn't a very large percentage of the reviews be from people who liked it enough to test drive it and buy it? I would think that might throw off the numbers a lot, but the site should still be good for seeing which features of a vehicle are good or bad.

Re: Vibe 2003 accessories list.

For generic items, I can't believe the prices of some of that stuff. You can go to Wal-Mart and get things like the cargo net, emergency kit, and cd holder for half the price. I'm surprised the don't list items like jumper cables and road flares!

Under the dash there is a white connector. Anyone out there know what it is for? I am hoping somebody has bought one of the service manuals and can tell me.

I'll be at it again this weekend. Still no mods so not expecting too different of times although I am adding an octane boost fuel additive (anybody with experience on these?) I should hopefully be getting some pics this time. For anyone else wanting to see what they can do in their Vibe (or other car...

Re: Tell me about your GT........ (Jwnmt)

I do drive it harder than any other vehicle I have owned, so that could account why I seem to find that there is more body roll than I am used to, but stabilizers should counteract that problem. It is probably the second fastest car I have owned (although a 460 V8 isn't exactly economical on fuel) a...

Re: Opinions wanted........... (QWIKGTA)

Actually, the difference in the smaller wheel size with equal outside tire diameter is in weight. The rim is made of metal which has more mass than air does. A 19" wheel weighs about 10 - 15 lbs heavier than a 15". Times 4 and you could be saving up to 60lbs total that you don't have to sh...

Picked it up . . .

Ok, during the test drive I never really got to see what my GT was capable of. Last night I left it in second gear, let it wind up to 80km/h (45mph) and felt the real power kick in. Now I can't wait to see what upgrades they come out with on the aftermarket... (my wife said ok to anything but NOS as...
