Re: (tpollauf)

It wouldn't be impossible. But we kinda played the system. Bought 2 cars on my wife's credit within a day of each other so no one would figure it out. Now that cats out of the bag so to speak. Nothing's impossible though, and I sure as HECK will try. This time though I'd look for a 2.4

Thanks guys. I'm not sure we'll be able to get another one, however I do want to point out something that thoroughly impressed me. She was hit at roughly 50 MPH and the Vibe held up like a champ. She was basically t-boned and my 10yr old daughter was on the impact side. The side airbags did what the...

'09 Vibe - Where to mount tweets?

I have non-premium 4 speaker stereo and wanted to get a component set. Any ideas on where to mount them? The side curtain airbags kinda mess with my original plan.

Passenger door done. Nice clear sound that can get loud without distorting. Rears are still factory and they HAVE to go. So boomy compared to my new Alpines. The rears will be a higher end Kenwood, think they're eXcelons, not sure. Anyway, anything would be an improvement.

I tried to use the factory spacers, but no go. Like the OP of this thread, the holes just didn't line up. I was however able to use the ones that came with the speakers, albeit having to drill 3 new holes. But it does completely cover the speaker hole. The cutting board idea is ingenious, but fortun...

Thanks for your replies. I feel much better. I had read some people had issues with aftermarkets blocking the window path. My new head unit and speakers should be here for the weekend to install. I'm going to run my RCAs and remote wire now for future sub/amp since I'll already be in there.

Is there any issue with mounting depth? I have 1 that's blown and one that's cutting out, and want to replace head unit and speakers. Do I need to look for a shallow mount speaker or does anyone know the depth tolerance? Thanks!
