Is there any issue with mounting depth? I have 1 that's blown and one that's cutting out, and want to replace head unit and speakers. Do I need to look for a shallow mount speaker or does anyone know the depth tolerance? Thanks!
I replaced my 2 fronts with Polk audio component speakers. Both had a standard mounting depth. Here is a link to the ones i have.http://www.crutchfield.com/p_1...pvs=T

I'm not sure what the actual depth is but I had all 4 door speakers replaced with JL Audio C2-650x's and they were at least 2.5" and had a fairly large diameter magnet. I can say for sure you don't need shallow mount speakers.
Thanks for your replies. I feel much better. I had read some people had issues with aftermarkets blocking the window path. My new head unit and speakers should be here for the weekend to install. I'm going to run my RCAs and remote wire now for future sub/amp since I'll already be in there.
I dont like how my head unit sits partially recessed behind the new dash install kit you put to take up the space used by the factory radio.Hopefully you do not run into this same problem.

I've seen the dash kits in a couple install pics and don't see it to be a problem. I'm far more concerned about the upgrade in sound.
