Aux2Car install in 2004 Vibe GT

This is confimation of a sucessful install of the Peripheral Aux2Car in a 2004 Vibe GT with Moon and Tunes. I went to the Aux2Car because I wanted to use the docked MiFi XM radio AND my Creative Zen Micro.Well, I was impatient and got the generic Audio2Car kit at Best Buy. It is the same device as A...

MiFi in Vibe GT

Here is my installation of a MiFi on a Braketron generic bracket.I used a unique routing for the power and antenna wire to get it under the dash. I never like previous methods I have seen: laying beside the console, in through the glove box, etc.I entered the dash through the pointy flat part of the...

Re: Is discoloration covered under warranty? (CyBeRjUnKiE)

Probably not.GM went throught this with the Avalanche moldings. In the beginning they replaced the plastics, but had too many claims and stopped. There were plenty of GM TSBs on the discoloration. GM went to a process where they applied a product called Armor-Dillo 1 time. After that you are on your...

Cargo area track tie down points

For those who haven't caught on, the tie down points that go in the tracks are "Bungie Buddies" from the motorcycle world. Of course the Vibe uses a special nut and plastic holder to keep them sliding in the track. The nut looks like nothing more than a piece of metal that has been drilled...

Anyone noticed the carpeted open area right at the corner of the back seat toward the bottom?A nice place about the size of a loaf of bread where you can stuff things.

Re: How do you maintain the exterior plastic trim on your Vibe? (Bdaz1)

Us folks who have Chvy Avalanches use this stuff. Here are several threads on the Chevy Avalanche Fan Club discussing the maintenance of the side cladding, including keeping it from getting zebra stripes, removing wax, scratches, etc. Yes, it works on grey cladding. Here is a long one on the cleaner. ...

I read here some were complaining that the center console compartment popping open at inopportune times. Sure enough mine started doing it.Since I need the ride and can't leave it at the dealership I decided to have a go at it.It is obvious that the manufacturing tolerances are loose and the nub tha...

Re: Painting Cladding (Sub-Vibe-R)

Well, as a member of the Chevy Avqalanche Fan Club I have read many threads where members DO paint the cladding.Usually, this requires the removal of the cladding, roughing it up, then painting. In addition to the paint costs there is also the cost of new cladding clips. (You can remove and reuse but...
