quote:I am not sure if anyone has mentioned this, but if you really want the gains from an Injen CAI vs. drop in or RAI (not saying they don't work...I have no clue ), pay an extra $50 for their Heat Shield/Splash Guard. I'm not sure how much water you're talking about, but for those people that are worried about puddles and normal rain, this might be our answer. I'll buy it just for those instances. Based on their product description, it should also cut down air intake temps. in ram air applications (can anyone attest to this claim?):The Injen Technology Heat Shield/Splash Guard air filter cover is made of polished aluminum for great looks and durability. This air filter cover can be used as a heat shield in under hood air intake applications to reduce air intake temperatures for more power. For cold air applications, where the air filter may be exposed to the elements, this air filter cover can act as an effective splash guard to protect the air filter. This unit will fit all air filters with a 2.5", 2.75", or 3.0" mouth.PS Our PTuning part# for Injen's CAI is PTRD2075, which is NOT on the excluded list.On a side note, I'm currently planning on makign something like that for the short ram to keep it isolated. Build a box around the short ram, have a 3-4" tube run from the bottom of the tube to the bumper area and have it ram cold air into the box for the short ram to pick up.I'm crazy, but if I can get it to work, it'll be awesome
