Trouble installing Hi/Lo HIDs

Post by vibe_2006 »

Hey Guys,So I recently bought a 6000K hi/Lo HID kit. When I was installing I noticed that it the low beams would not come on. In fact, none of the bulbs came on. But when I flashed my Hi beams, they would light up. Any suggestions on solving this problem? Thanks

First did you disable your drl?my guess is the wire harness plug prongs are in the wrong location. You will need to remove the prongs from the harness and relocate them to the correct location. What I am saying is it sounds like the ground and low beam prongs need to be swaped

Hey,Thanks! I was guessing that I needed to re-wire the prongs. I tried the lights on a 96 civic and it worked fine! I'll do that asap! The Kit is called "HID Xenon Power Light Conversion Kit" I got it from Pacific Mall for $80. I don't think it's a specific brand. Its a 6000K H4 Hi/Lo kit! Pretty straight forward for the most partThanks

Ok cool, did you get just the hid headlights, without the fogs? Post pics if you can I'm leaning towards 6k or 8k headlights & 6k fogs with DDM tuning

Will do! I didn't get the fogs - I sprang for Euro Yellows for now. I'm gonna switch it up next summer. Thanks again! Hopefully it'll be good!
