ok guys help me out here. just did a brake job on my wifes car. got the rotors turned and new crem pads. at first every thing was fine but now. bout 2 weeks later. ive got this crazy noise when i come to a stop. it not your average brake noise. its no a constant noise its kinda a whamp. whamp . whamp and i cant figure it out. any ideas?
I had the brakes on my 2003 done by my local dealer two summers ago and had the same kind of thing happen. There was absolutely no effect on braking performance, only a lot of scary noises under braking.I thought it was that maybe they used the wrong pads, or failed to install them properly (shims, perhaps?), but the after letting the 'Service Writer' (using the term loosely) drive the car and keep it for a day, he said that the rotors were somehow turned out-of-round, the dealership bought me new rotors. Problem solved, and it hasn't returned.
My 2003 Vibe Base Auto 2-tone Salsa "SalsaWagon" was built in May 2002. I acquired it in Feb 2004/Traded it in on a 2016 Honda HR-V in Feb 2018.
ok ill check the lug nuts but after driving it tonight with the windows down i noticed. the loud whamp whamp noise stops when you let of the pedal but for a lil bit ther is still a slight "grinding squeal" in the same noise pattern for a lil while after you start moving agian
