if you was gonna replace tensioner and accessery belt wouldn,t it be a good idea to clean the pulleys surface that the belt rides on?? would you use a light wire brush to do so ??

Cars as recent as the Vibe shouldn't have any corrosion on the pulley unless they've been submerged in water Sorry. If they're is crud in the grooves a light wire brushing should be fine.
