Factory Alarm

Has anyone added the Toyota Matrix alarm to a 2006 Vibe GT? I found the Corolla/Matrix instructions online but I'm not sure if all the wiring is the same in a Vibe.

Anyone? When I was looking at a Vibe the Pontiac dealer thought they could put one in, but after the purchase they said it wasn't possible. I have a GT loaded.

Not sure on the wiring. But I would think it would be the same as the '06 Matrix XRS. Someone should be able to help you out. The factory alarm is not a 'slap in' alarm system. It requires things that probably aren't there if it wasn't pre wired for it, such as the wiring for the glass break sensor. I think you need a different multifunction module as well.It would be much cheaper and much less of a headache to get something aftermarket.

"It would be easier (and cheaper) to purchase an aftermarket system versus installing the factory system."
