well duh... storage!!! I use it to hold my jumper cables... and maybe lil things i dont want rolling around but not in the back seat.It also may be for the first aid kit that you can get through the dealer.

driver side one holds my spare tire remote fill and pressure check valvethe passenger side holds a roll of papper towels

I use it for paper towel & some cleaner.. my friend uses it for tire foam and cable ties if you are an audiophile you can hide a sub & amp in there

I don't use it for anything, but I know that Bluecrush uses one compartment to hold a small fire extinguisher which I thought was pretty cool.

I bought a "jug-o-bungie-cords" from autozone for $20, it's a great place to store them instead of under the trunk lid.I always have a heavy load - loaded before I grabbed the bungies out... so now I don't have to unload to get them.As for the passenger compartment - that's just an access port for your brake/turn lights. Not technically a storage compartment - but it's your car... you won't hurt it by storing something there.Just remember the air exhaust vents are directly below each door. So don't store bulky things like towels or blankets there - you'll block the vents. This will cause over pressure when you open the windows at high speed. (your ears will pop) And it'll keep your heat/ac from working as well.

i do believe that it's an access to the rear lights' harness, and bulbs...

They're technically there to allow for convenient changing of tail light bulbs. Yeah, I just missed mcgusto's post.

Yup...access to the taillights...but I keep my cargo nets in there when not in use.Oh, and Welcome to GenVibe by the way.
