hey im in a bit of a competition at the moment with my buddies 96 VR6 with a few mods, last weekend he laid down a 15.0 flat. So I must beat this!! My car is a '03 Gt 6 speed and was thinking of adding a nitrous kit, i looked around on new celica but was wonder if anyone has a 50 shot on their vibe dry or wet? and what 1/4 mile times are you laying down
i ran a 14.9 with intake, exhaust, port and polish (of TB and intake manifold matching), motor mounts, and brass shifter bushings. 14.9 is the best i think i will run with these mods. With a 50 shot i think i can run low 14's
No. It's not me with the kit. Too scarey! being it's the only car my wife and I have! Here's a quote from an owner of an XRS who lost his motor:"Hey guys,.. hopefully someone can help with this issue,.. I have a 2003 Matrix XRS Automatic,.. I have 60shot of Nos fogger,..Greddy Evo exhaust, Unorth Pulleys, SAFC 2, and Injen Intake. Ive taken it to the track and ran 14.9, 14.7 and 15.1. 2 weeks after the track my oil pump blew and caused my engine to Cease. I paid $5,000 for another engine and 2 weeks after I got that back the Oil pump blew again. now I only drove it about 1/2 mile back home and when toyota took the car it they said I need a new motor. I need to know why my oil pump keep blowing on this motor,. I cant afford another $5,000 on an engine. Ny suggestions?"Also, vibegtweee! over at matrixowners is squeezing. He's supposedly runnin' 14.4-6's. Not sure on his shot, though.I would make sure you've got some sort of fuel management. We're already pushing 11.5:1 compression ratio. Adding a 50 shot is gonna really be pushing the compression up there. Plus the weakest link of all...the oil pump.I would think you're gonna be hitting the rev limiter DANG fast in first! Hope you can shift that beast with quickness!

The oil pump taking a poo has nothing to do with the NOS. I think it was Pablo1669, had the same problem with his motor/oil pump, I'm pretty sure it was his Unorthodox pullies and the lack of a harmonic stablizer, that fried his oil pump, here's the thread http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=8512
Actually the nitrous would affect the oil pump. The more power, the more stress, the more oil that has to be pumped through the engine. The pump can only do so much. When it lets go, so does the motor! I realize the pulleys have also been an issue....Just saying the oil pump is the weak link of our motors. however, there is an upgraded oil pump that can be bought to avoid this.

Maybe i'm talking out my (removed) and have no idea what i'm saying!

the nitrous is supposed to be placed about 8 inches from the throttle body, but i dont know anyone or seen any pictures of it before the maf sensor so i dont know if that zex kit would harm it but i would think not they had to test it.the nitrous is hooked up to the throttle switch and only comes on when you floor it. though the unichip can add rpm activation and possibly fuel management on dry kits(would take a lot of tuning) zex wet kit seems like a pretty good kit. newcelica.com has plenty of 2zzs with nitrous and god info check them out. with premium gas a fifty shot is safe on almost every car including the 1zz and 2zz.i have a 1zz but my kit work fine. but it will kill a stock clutch quick.
look my sniggies, i had a strizz-oke in my brizz-ain okay, you know what im saying. so i cant move all good. but thanks for mentioning that .thank you very much.athf4evr. click here! you know you want to!!!
That guy with the auto XRS and nitrous is breaking oil pumps because of his unorthodox pullies and not the 50 shot. 2zz's and crank pulleys don't get along. The crank becomes undamped and the oil pump shaters. The motor won't last as long overall with constant use of nitrous but a wet system should hold up well. A wet sysyem supplies both the extra fuel(wet) and oxygen(nitrous) needed and doesn't use the MAF.

The dealer replaced my oil pump, started it up, and within 2 minutes of running, the new oil pump shot out because of pieces of the old one still in the systemQuote, originally posted by goodvibe » A wet sysyem supplies both the extra fuel(wet) and oxygen(nitrous) needed and doesn't use the MAF.I've always wondered the diff between wet and dry systems, I just never took the time to read up on them. I'm guessing the dry system only supplies the nitrous and doesn't deal with any fuel management (creating the need for better, stand-alone fuel management)?

I almost beat him myself for being such an idiot... and now, he doesn't get oil changes, he just adds a quart about every 1,000 miles or so he says... "Its in constant circulation, no need for an oil change" I'm like OIL FILTER!!

check out this kithttp://www.holley.com/HiOctn/P....html$1300 kit thoe and not sure if you have to replace your fuel pump and ingecters still resarching to make sure it's safe and reliable a lot of money thoe for a few more horses but cheaper than the supercharger
yes that's a lot of money for just a burst of extra power. i think a lot of people here are wanting a more constant surge of power, not just a one time shot. if you are looking to add nos to your gt, i think there's a guy in canada that did on his. forget what his name it. sorry. if you do a search on nos, you'd probably find it tho.
i know nothing about NOS really, but cant you get the bottles refilled after your shots done, and how much does that cost for a refill on a 50 shotim starting to think i might be putting new oil pumps, and clutches in my vibe before exhaust and instakes hehe, i want my honey to last
