I notice that when my 03 vibe gt is idling the car vibrates on the inside much like an old car with alot of miles. I feel the vibrations through the pedals, my seat, and the steering wheel. Did this happen to anyone else and do you know what it can be?
does the engine seem to be runnning rough at idle? if not and normal engine vibration isn't being damped properly, maybe there an engine mount problem. Was it always this way, or did it recently develop? maybe you can hit up a dealer to see how much a new vibe shakes at idle, and if your's is noticeable worse, get the dealer to fix it for free since it's still under warranty w/ only 20K miles.

I notice my GT shakes a bit at a certain RPM when idling before it is warmed up and drops to the lowest idle. It doesn't seem as bad in my car as you describe in yours, though.

Same here when the idle drops and the car isn't fully warmed up. Never bothered me either. Use the gas to push the idle up 100 rpm. It will probably stop shaking. If it works, maybe your can adjust it. If it's gone when warmed up, it's normal.

I'd say the banana is a better bet....he, he, heUnder normal circumstances, absolutely. But I've had two friends who bought new cars that weren't properly tuned at the factory (or received bad parts or something of similar nature) who had to have tune-ups well before 100,000 miles (under warranty, of course).Ahhh...the expensive-to-maintain technology that is the modern automobile.
YES!I still visit GenVibe periodically. I have not forgotten about my "original" family over here!

The last time it did it, the dash board was actually vibrating.that does sound wrong. there could be a bunch of things causing a rough idle. What does the tach show as your idle RPMs?Sounds like a visit to the dealer for warranty service. cost of a vehicle is what pays for the warranty, might as well use it.
there are some other threads here about rough idle, some members, such as coratz and millster mentioned having similar probs, but never said if they got the prob fixed or what the cause was. If you do get it figured out, plost the results

It has no spark plug wires.May be a motor mount causing the vibration. A mechanic should be able to do a visual inspection to see if this is the case. Do have it checked out.
