I was checking out the same question, and the answer is no. Some receivers can be used in the car and at home. Hopefully this changes in the future. My original post was for the yellow Vibe they use to show off their service

Yes you can add up to 4 additional receivers to your account (for a total of 5 per account). It's just $6 extra per month, per receiver. Your other option is teh Delphi SkyFi, which allows you to set cradels in cars, your home, and even in a boombox. In the case of the skyfi, you can have cradles in4 different locations, but you still only pay the one $9.99 for the single skyfi receiver. Here are your rate options: You can pre-pay for 5 years of sevice, pay under $8 a month, and still, if you decide to cancel, you can! It's not a contract. If you cancel before the end of the period, you get a pro-rated refund, However, if you have a family plan (multiple receivers), you can only purcahse a quarterly, semi-annual, or annual billing plan. You get a lot for the money:- 70 music channels- 30 news, talk, and variety channels- coast-to-coast coverage- crystal clear digital signal- ability to buy a portable system, such as the Delphi SkyFi, and use the same receiver in your car, in your home, or at the beach with the home kit, auto kit, and boombox, all for one $9.99 / month subscription.Starting in February:- 100% of XM Music stations will be commercial free!- New channels added: Highway 16 – Top Country Hits Blend 25 – Adult Contemporary Fungus 53 – Punk / Hardcore / Ska Lucy -54 Classic Alt Hits MSNBC 130 - News - also adding XM Instant Traffic & Weather, giving 24 hour instant updates for traffic and weather conditions in 21 major metropolitan areasi just drove up and back to boston, and this was the best investment i'd ever made!

Quote, originally posted by Salsa! »Ok...so if you can "move" your receptor to multiple areas than the 10$/month is a better investment, if you can get a reduction when you pay for 5 years, then it's even better!Depending on your receiver yes. The SkyFi and the Roady are the only two that can be moved -- they SkyFi is even easier than the roady to move. The SkyFi is the only one with the option of car mount, home mount, AND boombox/music system. The Roady has a car kit, and shortly a home kit will be out, but no boombox. Other receivers, such as the Commander, are permantly mounted in your car, and cannot be moved.Quote »For someone who does a lot of driving I can see the advantage, but for someone who doesn't drive for long periods of time often, then the investment, isn't that great in my opinion!I have a 20-30 minute commute to work, and it is SO muhc better, because our FM around here bites. I think it was worth it. Plus I try to take road trips whenever possible, which makes it even BETTER.Plus, there are no decent jazz sations around here...Real Jazz on XM 70 is fantastic!

My room mate bought the Skyfi one, and he loves it. Has both the car and home kit. Radio in Flint Mich totally sucks, so it was a good investment for him
