It's the wheel style. The spokes curve in at the edges giving them the appearance of looking smaller than what they really are. I've never liked that spoke style on a wheel once they're on the car for that reason.vibenvy wrote:Wheels look great! Is it just me though or do they look extra small, i.e. even smaller then OEM Vibe 16" wheels, to anyone else?
Yes....I noticed that as well but all in all the most important things for me were color and weight. Perhaps next year I'll move up to 17's if I can find a nice set of gunmetal in that size.vibenvy wrote:Wheels look great! Are you serious? There can't really be hubcaps that can go over these?KITT222 wrote:How much do they weigh? I'm surprised that this is what's hiding under every Prius Touring's plastic wheel covers. Now I want some!
Im curious about the weight savings over the standard 16" aluminum gt vibe wheel.davedyer wrote:Yes....I noticed that as well but all in all the most important things for me were color and weight. I don't think these are the same hubcap covered wheels you may be thinking of. I believe these were an option on the Prius Touring. Not sure, though.KITT222 wrote:How much do they weigh? I'm surprised that this is what's hiding under every Prius Touring's plastic wheel covers. Now I want some!
To protect the wheels from scrapes huh? Is this a first. A really nicely finished gunmetal wheel that accepts wheel covers?kostby wrote:@davedyer "Are you serious? There can't really be hubcaps that can go over these?"
Yup. Look carefully at the edges underneath the plastic wheelcover.
