I have just installed a new car stereo, Dual brand to replace my dead factory radio in my 2005 Vibe. To install it I have purchased a compatible harness and I have connected the wires myself as well as I could. It works quite great mostly: it replaces the original radio with more features for a fraction of the price! But a disturbing issue happens with it.
Whenever I turn the contact to start the car and the stereo is already turn on, I make a 18 inches jump in my car: a big Boom, sudden crack noise in the speaker for a split second. Great to startle passegers and get rid of your heart-problem in law! Out of that explosion sound, the car radio then turn back on as usual when the car is finally going, as if nothing happened. It basically sounds like a power surge from the contact in the 4 speakers when I start the car, no matter which mode I use on the radio (CD, tuner, IPOD...)
So, using you great common sense and knowledge, where do you think I have screwed up with my wiring? When installing the stereo I was quite confident with all my wiring choices: it was pretty much simply putting together wires that were alike. The only one that made me doubt was the "antenna amplifier", or something like that... can't remembe exactly the name. I believe it was dark blue on the stereo I purchased but was a slightly different color on the Vibe-compatible harness... I connected them nevertheless!

Any help would be appreciated!
