New Vibe owner...

Post by FarmerRick »

... But certainly not new to Toyota-made products. ;)

Details: 2008 Pontiac Vibe(standard) with 47,500 miles. 5 speed trans and convenience package. Not too fancy, just enough bells and whistles for me.

I will have a receiver hitch on order shortly and will probably replace the stock radio pretty soon too.

First question as I don't see that this was covered anywhere... would the odometer rack up miles if the car is flat-towed behind a motorhome with the ignition not turned on?
I'm pretty sure that's what the prior owners used the car for.

Anyway, nice to find this site and I will go back to reading and searching for more info here.

Welcome to GenVibe Rick :D Not sure on the odometer issue BUT I'm thinking it would still register. Now with the key turned to the "acc" position to where you merely unlock the wheel & allow the gear selector to be shifted ... that might be OK. Never done this so I'm not sure. Post pics of your Vibe when you get a chance and update your profile showing your location. We like to know here @ GenVibe if you just happen to be one of our neighbors. Again Welcome ;)

Welcome to GenVibe Rick! That's a very sharp looking Vibe you've got there and that mileage is pretty darn low for a 2008! Nice find ;)!
