Post by DeeDistefano »

Hey guys, new to the VibeNation, just curious if anyone knows of any brand of lowering spring manufacture that sells springs for a 2010 Pontiac Vibe/2010 Toyota Matrix? Also do you think toyota springs will fit. looking for a 1.5 drop. Thank guys.

If your 2010 Vibe is either a 1.8L or 2.4L Base, you can use the TRD springs which will give you a 0.5" drop in the front and a 1.5" drop in the rear. If your 2010 Vibe is an AWD or GT, you will have to use springs made for the older Vibe/Matrix. For more information on lowering, check out the Matrix Owners Forum.

I just ordered the 1st gen 2wd vibe springs from Canuck motorsports. Apparently these fit, anyone know for sure?

Again, Matrix Owners will offer more insight into this topic. Not any regular posters here who have lowered their 2009-2010 Vibes.

I can't tell you what kind of drop you'll get from Canuck springs, but they should work fine. One poster here did have them. Mine is lowered about 2" on Tein H-Tech springs that are a listed fit for the 1st gen Vibe. When I was looking for springs nothing was spec'd for the 2009-10, but several people have used the 1st gen springs with no issues - it just seems to drop the 2nd gen cars a little bit more (like maybe 1/4 - 1/2 inch).
