Honestly, he might be better off if someone WOULD steal the car.
when he bought it, he knew he wanted a vibe, and had come into a little money, and the crooks -i mean used car Dealer- he bought it from saw him coming a mile away.
most of the folks here would have taken 1 look, and walked away. engine and trans are great, but the rest of the car was an obvious frontal/passenger side collision, with a quickie, "that'll do" type repair. if you want a rundown, of what all is wrong, see this thread:

it would be a great car for a project car for a kid in auto-body school, or as a part-out, he just doesn't have the $$ to replace it.
