And get one of those micro fibre cloths, I tried diapers, cheese cloth, that soft polishing cloth GM gives you. Every one left scratches! And pull the facia off its so much easier to clean then you don't get that little dust halo around the edge of each guage!

Quite simple. Just lower the steering wheel all the way, grasp the circles on each end, and pull forward. Comes right off. Then, to put it back on, just make sure you thread the odometer button through, and push back until it snaps in place!

That easy? The whole cluster comes off, not just the chrome right? If it is really that simple, that will make cleaning a whole lot easier. Now if I could just figure out what to use that won't leave scratches, then I will be in business.

Let me know when you find it and how it works... as for me, I'm going to try to get that cluster panel off, just to see if it is really that easy to remove.

Just ordered Mothers Plastic Polish online...should have next week sometime...will let y'all know how it works out. It's supposed to be good for both the gauge cluster as well as the headlight lenses...Also ordered Mothers California Gold Touch Up Kit, which you use in conjunction with touch-up paint, and supposedly does wonders to fill in scratches...will also let y'all know how that one works out...

I suggest just wiping it clean with a lens cloth. I have one made by 3M that I use on my glasses. I got to thinking one day while cleaning the car and found that it works well. Everything else scratches the plastic. And a big thank-you to those who discovered how to pull the gauge cluster apart, it will make cleaning a whole lot easier! Now if only I can find some white faced aftermarket gauges...
