Pontiac Vibe 2003 Radiator FAN not working

Post by henrucho »

Hi guys, recently my radiator fan stopped working. As per the usual, I check the Fuses. The RDI Fan fuse under the hood
is okay. I removed the fuse, and tested the fuse port for the fan with a tester, and there is current. When I remove
the connection from the fan motor, and test for current, there is none. the fan is working fine, when you connect it straight.
What is triggering the fan not to come on, the fuse is okay. Please help. Thanks.

You are aware that the rad fan only turns on when the water temp reaches a certain temp right? It doesn't run all the time

I got it working... the problem was inside the car, under the steering. Current was not reaching relay.

could you be more specific? Why was current not reaching the relay and what action did you take to restore it?
