new from B.C. Canada

Post by shanemade »

Well this all started because of this site.I was searching for wiring specs for my vibe when I put my hitch on and I hit this page and have never been the same since. I love the vibes you guys have on the site and there is lots of good ideas on mods. I have been visiting this site for few months just looking around and getin some ideas, Then all hell broke lose and I started trickin the vibe out a bit..... I hope it's not addictive (ha-ha) Anyways it started with a hitch I needed for my reno. Haulin the garbage away to the dump now I'm just haulin (removed)! and lovin it. Sure is growly with air intake and exhaust! All this happened in about three weeks, good thing I have to save up again for some more mods. More to come. Performance mods:Weapon R short intakeFlowmaster ExhaustNon Performance:TRAILER HITCH & WIRINGTinted windowsVinyl's

i believe it is a throttle cable and for h/p no idea but it made a noticeable difference when driving. The sound well it's pretty throaty under load and quiet on idle, when you lay in to it you definitely here it, actually I find myself laying into quiet a bit just because of the sound. I bought this car B.C. Canada and the reg says 05 so...... there you have it.

Welcome to GenVibe, Shane!I'm assuming your '05 is an AWD? You can tell it's an '05+ by the front fascia. If you have an '05 and its is an AWD then it would be a cable throttle.Ha, I just added the Weapon-r short ram and hitch also. I'm doing the wiring this weekend.I made my decision for the Weapon-r based on TPR Magazines Intake test & review. I have not had any CEL's either. The Weapon-r had the best gains in the low to mid rpm range which is where I spend most of my time. Here is the article: http://www.tprmag.com/issue/1/sr-results.shtmlPost a better side shot of your vinyls when you get a chance. From what I can see it looks pretty cool! Again, welcome and enjoy your stay.

Thanks. If it is an '05 2wd Base then it should be an electronic cable throttle and not cable. Post a shot of your engine bay when you get a chance as well, please.

I need a good CARB exempt intake for next year's smog test, and don't want to spend another $200 on Injen or K&N (Typhoon), the only two intakes I know of that are CARB exempt for the Vibe.--Back On topic--Welcome aboard, and nice vinyls

That would be sweet Did you get the Secret Weapon or Dragon intake? I'd love to know two things:1) Would the secret weapon fit a 2003 Vibe GT2) Is it CARB exemptIf so, I may be looking to buy one, and sell my AEM CAI.

What did you do with the large smog hose that went into the intake right before the throttle body?
