My New 09 Vibe

Post by biff252525 »

I got a 2009 vibe base model. the 1.8 isnt very quick compared to the V8 in my 2002 dodge dakota R/T i traded in for it but twice as good in MPG. My first tank got 36 MPG and i plan to install a CAI so if anyone knows how to install one plz let me know. also idk how to post pics.

Welcome to G V! I know how you feel, I too went from a v8 to the Vibe. But as you said the MPG is far better.

Welcome to GenVibe!

For info and hints on how to install the K&N Typhoon CAI on an '09, try this thread - viewtopic.php?f=13&t=32495 (this is mostly about the 2.4s).

Welcome to GenVibe! What color is your Vibe? Auto or manual?

I would recommend K&N's intake for your 2009 1.8L. Many of us here have the K&N for our 2009-2010 2.4Ls and have been very satisfied with the quality of the intake itself, the great fitment and the increased sound, power and mileage. Check eBay and Amazon to find the best prices on it.
