Bi-Xenon HID Problem

Post by streblo »

OK. So I am having quite the issue getting these BI-Xenon HID's to workThere are 3 prongs on the headlight socket for the vibe, | _ | (left, middle, right)Attached is a picture of the harness (I have removed the prongs to try switching their orientation), the white connector goes to the magnet for the position of the BI-Xenon Bulb, i.e. to turn the high beam on.Here is what I have come across so far, The only thing I think is left is to change the wiring on the harnessWith the wires at the following positions (b - black, b/r - black/red, r-red)R-BR-B = high beam on lows, light turns off when high beam selectedBR-R-B = high beam is on with high beams, no light on low beamsR-B-B/R = Low beam works, when high beam is selected magnet engages but no light on highBR-B-R = no light on low, blown fuse on highB-B/R-R = blow fuseB-R-B/R = blown fuseAnyone with BI-XENON have a similar harness? and how is it wired? Thanks

my suggestion get the right relay harness. Your blowing the fuse because your over loading the circut, which is why you need the relay harness. You need one like this

I was thinking it might be a relay, but was not sure as there is no problem with the fogs and no relay, and same lights in another vehicle give me no problem. Im going to have to give the guys i got the system from **** for saying a relay harness was only optional for this vehicle.I take it no one has run a HID kit in their vibe w/o a relay

that is obviously a hack job. Not really the right way to do it.Most plug and play's should have come with the relays. I'm wondering what the bulbs look like if the harness looks like that.

Ya that electrical tape was def me pissing around with the wiring configurations. Its a kit from hidextra.com and with every other vehicle ive had with them they have never had to use a relay as they have all worked off the cars power supply, however none of them were a hi/lo

I did, didnt help the problem at first. Messed around the the wiring and got it to work though. Just had to remove the diode and ground the middle pin.If I end up having problems ill let you know and get one of your relays. Thanks
