new guy here.... im a little late to the party!

Post by dfunk415 »

What's up guys. Just bought my first vibe. I'm absolutely in love with it. Its an 03 base with a 5 speed. Bone stock. Maybe you can tell me what color it is... darkblue in the shade but in the sun it changes from green to a deep purple from the heavy flake in the paint. I'm kinda new to toyota motors, whick by the way kinda through me off when I popped the hood the first time and saw vvti. I sold my turbocharged ford ranger and bought this for the gas mileage but now I see how much there is to offer and my heart is racing to start modding. I am extremely knowlegdeable about turbos, standalone fuel systems like megasquirt and if I can't answer a question you have I have amassed a large network of friends from saabs, to turbo rangers, and a lot of ford stuff. Well thanks again for allowing me to join and yes I will have a lot of questions.

Heey, nice to meet you. My mean friend kept insulting my Vibe the other day. She was all, "Yeeeah, not much you can do with a Pontiac Vibe!! Take it back to the dealer and ask them why they sold you a lemon!!" T_T My heart was broken. . .
My lovely Gambit.

From one Ohioan to another ...... Welcome Let's hope your 5-speed has been driven properly by the previous owner(s) and well maintained. For whatever reason a few of the 03 Vibes with 5-speed manuals have had some issues with bearings in the manual trannys. Post pics when you get a chance and welcome to this great, friendly, informative site

My 2003 Vibe Base Auto 2-tone Salsa "SalsaWagon" was built in May 2002. I acquired it in Feb 2004/Traded it in on a 2016 Honda HR-V in Feb 2018.
