This might sound weird, but how old is your battery?

Did this start when you put the cosmo on?If so, maybe the MAF sensor isn't seated properly and is leaking air.also, there are issues with the intake manifold gasket could be failing and causing a leak... it's an easy fix.

If it's the iridiums like what were in there OEM, you're actually not supposed to gap them.I had mine idle like dump once (never died, just idled really low and rough,) the dealer ended up cleaning the throttle body.

my car did the EXACT same thing RIGHT after I installed my SRI....Maybe it has something to do with the intake?I too have been thinkin bout going back to stock inake.About a week later tho, it cleared up. It's done it once or twice randomly, but runs great otherwiseDoes anyone know wht the hose going to the intake is? it's function? Not thread-jacking, just wondering if it's related

Could it be a vacuum line disconnected/uplugged/hooked up to the wrong thing?

Having installed a lot of CAI's, and usually doing I/h/e on every car I've owned, I will atest to the fact that when the instructions say "disconnect the battery and remove" they are covering two steps. Most installs, you can leave the battery in, install the intake, and start the car and it will run like normal but with a low idle. The computer is still trying to operate the statistics of the normal intake, but that's not going to work, since the old intake isn't there anymore. Thus you get a crappy run. If you disconnect the battery for 15 minutes, however, the ECm will reset and when you reattach the battery, the car will "learn" the new intake and treat it as normal and adjust to that. So when you remove it in the beginning (it's going to take more than 15 minutes to get the new intake in) you are killing two birds with one stone, so to speak. If disconnecting the battery didn't work, try cleaning the IAC, or adjust the idle screw. I too just got a cosmo CAI, since price doesn't mater on these things, it was $40 2nd party on E-bay, and a tube is a tube, so it's going in tomorrow. The filter it came with isn't worth junk, but that's not an issue to replace.
