Hi,Today I pulled out of the drive way and my 06 Vibe with 64,000 kilometers stalled. It took several tries to get it started and when it did there was almost no power. Pedal to the floor and it barely revved at all. If I took it out of Park or Neutral it would sputter. The Check Engine Light also came on.So I let it sit for a few minutes then it started right up, full power and but the engine light was still on. I drove it for about 20km, and when turned off the engine and restarted, it was fine and no Check Engine. What could be going on here?? Is this the dreaded PCM problem I have been reading about on here? Thanks,
Can you give a few more details? Is the engine acting funny, can you get the motor to redline while in gear? If you can get a CEL back, get the code. That will help diagnose it.

Initially it looked like you may have been in "limp mode" and perhaps a bad MAF sensor. But the fact that it runs OK now eliminates that. Perhaps an ECU type thing? It will be pretty easy to diagnose the problem if you can provide teh CEL code.
first I would reset the ecu. disconnect your battery for a few mins. Reconnect it and let us know if it's still happening. It takes the ecu a few start stop cycles to relearn.

Happened again today, but this time it wouldn't even start until 3 or 4 tries. Same as before, once started wouldn't rev past 1500. when it was running, the rpms would fluctuate up and down sporadically, but turning on the AC and fans would cause the rpms to drop and almost stall again. Turned it off for a while and then it started up fine and ran ok, but the engine light stayed on this time. So hopefully this will remain so they can get a code.Up until this happened the car worked fine except for occasional rpm and gear change when coasting on hill, but from I what read, this seems normal. Although, there was occasional very slight hesitation when hitting the gas after a stop light/sign.
The above happened for a second time today, so I decided the disconnect the battery to see if that would reset anything... Well, after reconnecting the battery if struggled to start once, stalled and now won't start at all. Looks like I'm going to have to get the F-ing thing towed to the dealership now. Also, when I reconnected the battery the park lights seemed to flash a couple times, not sure if this is normal?
