So I decided to paint my mud-flap to fit my salsa monotone. They are not installed yet but this is a pic of them one painted.8 coats of paint and 6 coats of clear and it give this result
quote:Looks really good! Take some pics in the sunlight if possible before you install them then again after. They should look really good on the Vibe. I know, this pic looks like crap. No enough sun and the flash didn't worked.I should instell them tonight, so I'll take pics b4 and after installation
quote:That's alot of paint ....How did you match the color so well?As Salsa! said, I bought paint at Shewrwin-WilliamThey are specialized in car finish. You give the guy the color code number (salsa 44u wa-721h) and the next day, I had the color in a spray can.
I used regular paint for cars.I hope it will not crack.I sand the mud flap 1st to be sure the paint will stick well on the plastic. Then I applied the paint and clear. There's pics one installed. The color match is perfect and I look so nice.
quote:How hard are they to install? In fact, as they were already installed before I painted them, they were very easy to re-install. I haven't had to remove the wheels, even at the back.Install them for the 1st time take about 30-45 minutes, as you have to remove the back whells to drill holes. It is an easy thing to do.
