Ok, here are a couple more interior mods I did. First, the dead pedal. I had to custom fit this one. I made persicion cuts to make this fit. Here is a before pic of what the dead pedal cover looked like when I got it. It was way too big for the Vibe. To long and too wide. And here is the pic after I cut it to fit.

And here are a few more pics with my door handles from "myself's" Toyota Matrix. He wanted the black ones and I wanted his chrome finished handles. We swapped them at the Michigan Rally. A special thanks to ilquikgtx for doing the swapping.

quote:Nice pedals covers...however they don't seem to have (I might be wrong here) rubber pads preventing slipping when they are wet....What will happen when you'll be driving around with winter boots soaked with snow or slush? Thanks for the compliment. You are correct. They can be a little slick when they are wet. The nice thing is that the pattern on those pedals are raised and they actually feel like they grab the bottom of your shoes. I do plan on taking them off in the winter and putting the rubber pedals back on. The other two pedals will also come right off as well.

I also had pedals on my last car so I know what you are talking about. That's why I kept everything. Turn it all back to stock in the winter.

quote:Triton, how much did those chrome door handles set you back? They look really good.I didn't pay anything for them. I traded with another GenVibe member at the Michigan Rally last weekend. He didn't like the chrome ones in his Matrix and I said that I liked them. So we traded. Thanks goes to ilquikgtx for doing the swap and the member "myself" for doing the trade. From what I understand, the door handles from Toyota parts are around $80 each.

not a bad deal then. Wish we had enough folks up here to hold a meet. Probably wouldn't be much of a turn out. Maybe about 10 cars if that. Now if it were the Corvette Club... then that's a different story. Oh well.

quote:OK I found this buy going to the link I just gave you. This is a replacement airpag cover for the Matrix/Vibe sterring wheel. They will also have one for the passenger side airbag door. This is a cool way to add color to the steering wheel. on $75. not bad. That is a NON-FUNCTIONAL airbag cover, just for your information. It is meant for when the airbag is removed or if it has been set off, and you opt not to replace it...Triton: do you know if acculaser make those covers in a metallic red?

I would contact them through the contact form on the website. That's how I got all the information about mine. You should get an email back from Bob Platter. He is awesome! If you don't hear anything, let me know and I will contact him.

After looking at all the pic of your mods (and VERY well done) ,you have 1 sharp looking Vibe. But looking at those steering wheels you posted-That would be the icing on the cake. James

It was not that difficult to cut. I used a good hacksaw and angled my cut so you can't tell that it is cut. You just have to take very accurate measurements before you make your cuts.

[QUOTE]Yup, good 'ol Bob came through:[QUOTE]I wouldn't say that yet. Bob has been looking for a red material for me since 6/20. He still hasn't found one. I hope he finds one soon, I've been waiting 25 days to order my kit. I'm starting to worry a bit.
