http://www.iihs.org.I have something to say about this... These crash test ratings are all well and good, but consider this... WHAT has to be done to such a small car to achieve this rating? Crumple zones are almost non-existent, there isn't enough room... so where does the energy go? my guess would be into the passengers.. Same for side impact... Is this thing as safe as they say it is, I mean considering having a largish SUV barreling down on you... Did they smash 2 smarts together and call it good?? I could see it being really safe in europe, where most of the cars ARE that small, but here, with that soccer mom, driving the suburban, on the cell, with the kids screaming in the back, not paying anyone a bit of attention.. no thanks, that's a scary thought..
