Bad header gasket?

Post by Petrucci914 »

Yes, I know, I'm the Gasket King lately. Should NOT have re-used most of the gaskets like I did.Anyways........replaced the Supercharger gasket, and got the tensioner replaced. Now I have even a higher whistle upon accelerating, even when I'm parked and I rev it. It's also been idling a bit worse lately.Thoughts? Would a bad header gasket cause all of that? I'm thinking it would have to be exhaust.

those metal gaskets should be reusable. is this the donut gasket on the header or the flat one from the header to the engine block?

Check anything that could have a gap.Header, throttle body, intake, exhaust manifold, really anything that is connected. I have a rough idle problem and it's because of a vacuum leak in my throttle body, right where the spacer is. I can't fix it and it's not throwing a CEL so i dont mind, but it does act up from time to time.
