I can do chips, pop, and beer If we do the potluck, but I can't plug in a crock pot as my outlet is inoperable.I sent out about 15 IMs today to fellow members in the IL,WI,MN, and IA area that have been active in the past few weeks to try and spark up a little more interest.Aron

I may be down for it, starting a new job so I'll have to see if I'm free that weekend so I'd likely be a last minute decision.

Problem with a potluck is if someone doesnt show we cant eat They do have shelters there with bbq's, so we can bbq and such. Otherwise there are tons of restaurants in the area. Im okay with either one.

Then when its closer to the time we can keep a eye on the weather and if it raining we can go some where. I can try and get there early to keep a shelter if anyone wants to join me

We don't need no stinkin silverwarenapkins: Since we don't need no stinkin silverware... napkins are probably a must.If anyone brings something that requires silverware... they might want to bring something...I had posted before that I could bring the pop/cooler, anything specific people want?Any vegan or vegetarians? What kind of hotdog's do people like? All beef would be preferred I would assume. Do people want seasoned burgers or just plain and maybe have some powder seasoning that can be used if wanted?byob - sure! I dont mind swaping brews if someone else brings something too. The issue now is how much people want to spend ie. meet will cost a bunch, paper plates are fairly cheap. We also still need a real count of how many people PLUS passengers, so we can get a head count of who will be eating. It will be me and my friend Jeff, both of us will bring something, just need to talk to him quick before we comment on what it will be that we bring.

Aron hit me up for this meet, and I think it'll work into my schedule nicely. I'll also be bringing my fiance. Plus, it's the weekend before finals, too, so it'll be a nice break. Count me in. Will someone post what is needed still for potlucking so I know what to bring? I'd appreciate it. I'll see you all then.-Thomas

I just relocated out here & bought my Vibe yesterday; I live about 15min. away from the site, so I and my boyfriend will definitely be there! If we can get a head count, I will see if I can make some hamburgers (my boyfriend grinds the meat & mixes in cheese). In any event, we have lots of paper towels and paper plates & bowls left from when we were in temp housing for a month. Do folks eat artichokes? I have a really good grilled artichoke recipe, which can be good for finger food as well as if there are any vegetarians coming.
