yeah looking back at the 2, i think i'd prefer the o9 matrix to the o9 vibe (let me put on my helmet before you guys start hammerin me). like i said before, it doesn't look like a matrix anymore. more blade like. but i like it

Personally, I think the 05 to 08 Vibes look the best of the bunch. I guess I'm warming up to the 09 Matrix, but I think the 09 Vibe looks better than any of the Matrix. It just looks like it's trying too hard to look cool.

Being tall, I like these features: "increased front seat-track travel and a standard telescoping steering wheel provide a vastly better driving position."Does the Vibe offer this also?

I agree with Jerome. I would take a 09 Matrix over the 09 Vibe. But I do prefer my 06 Vibe.
Bye Bye Vibe.............

Just a different front and back end. Which is horrendous on the Matrix.

not sure I like the new interior and you can bet the Vibe will pretty much be the same...They sure seem hung up on the mazda 3...

theguy in te video put it in the perfect words that toyota and pontiac need to listen too.-this remains a perfectly practical small wagon that you'll purchase for rational reasons rather than emotional ones. -highly pratical vehicel for rational people.- and not upto par with the Mazda 3

Quote »Maybe it has something to do with the plan to sell the redesigned second-generation Matrix to males in the 20-to-35-year-old range when the 2009 Toyota Matrix goes on sale in February 2008. Probably you don't want to be talking about kids or strollers in front of these guys. What the heck are they smoking at Toyota marketing? Is there anyone who truly believes that a Matrix is going to sell well to young single males 20-35 after they've seen a Scion tC???IMHO the primary market for the Matrix (and Vibe) should be young families. The fact that oldsters 55+ like me also may find Matrix/Vibe a rational functional cost-effective appliance vehicle does not mean that they've failed. To paraphrase, "You can't sell a young man an 'old man's' car", but the opposite is very often true!

One big plus I gotta give is the controls on the steering wheel, but they look minimal.. I want audio, and Temp controls at the flick of a button.
