I have 147K miles I don't know Mobil-1 oil variants. Is diesel truck oil the same as little gasoline car oil?On oil consumption, I haven't seen the level drop on my dipstick between changes, but I always seem to get out less than I think I should, but it still takes a full gallon . The oil fiter isn't big enough to make up the difference. Some sort of magic going on there in mine. If you think its burning oil, check the spark plugs. maybe run a dry/wet compression test. I haven't run the compression test on mine, I wish I had when it was new, a baseline to compare against now.People seem to get a wide range of MPG, for no apparent reason. MPGs were a big part of my decision to buy a Vibe, it I averaged as low as 27, I'd be upset. Lots of potential causes for poor mpg, hard to know what to recommend. I have noticed that MPGs drop when I go over 70. Your sig says it's the GF's Vibe. Is she an aggressive, or perhaps "sporty" driver? Would be interesting to know what MPGs she gets if she kept it at or under the speed limit for a whole tank (if she can, sometimes that's tough ) The rust warranty is listed in the overall warranty doc, if you don't still have it, you can download a copy of it, the owners manual, and some other things from

Some people have also had rust form under the hatch glass weatherstripping, but I've been lucky on that one also.
