Rims

Post by joker »

I want to order some black rims with a chrome lip, but I just went to a website that says the 2006 vibe's rims are 17's. The tires on my car are 205 55 16.Does anyone know what I need to order? Thanks

Either rim size would work as long as the rubber on the rim is sized in acordingly so that the over all diameter stays the same. On base Vibes 16" is stock the GT's are a 17".

17's were an upgrade available on the GT...my GT came with 16's standard. The base Vibe is steelies with caps standard and upgrade to 16" aluminum...Joker, just make sure the bolt pattern is 5x100 and the tire is either 225/45/R17 or 215/55/R16 - I'm not as sure on the 16" standard, but check in the forum for tires and wheels and one of the stickied topics is a tire size calculator...match it to 225/45/R17

stock alloy 17" rim runs a 215/50R17 I believe... could be wrong but I know its not like a conventional size of 225/45R17 thats pretty common.
