When using the key chain transmitter, not all of my doors are unlocking/locking. It does this with both transmitters. Anybody else have this problem? I'm wondering if the car battery is going bad.DUG
When unlocking your doors, hitting the unlock button once with unlock the driver's door, hitting it twice in a row will open all the doors and hatch. But all the doors should lock when you hit the lock button.BTW Welcome to GenVibe!

and BTW, if only one or two doors are un/locking, it's not an indicator of the health of your car battery. If there is a legitimate malfunction, it's something with your RKE system and you need to have the dealer investigate further...

if NONE are locking..check to make sure your rear hatch is closed fully/properly. if it's not properly latched, the doors won't lock when using the key fob.
I have signatures turned off so I'm not even sure what mine says in this space!

I HATE when that happens. It seems like only 2 doors won't unlock, but it varies which doors. I also noticed the doors unlocking and locking all by themselves. At least the lights were flashing on and off all by themselves.

The doors re-lock after 30 secs if no door is opned after being un-locked byt the key-less. 05 and up auto vibes lock after going into gear. just adding some info. maybe it can help.
The doors were unlocking while nobody was in the car. My wife thinks the kids might have been stepping on her coat with the keys in the pocket. I'm not sure if that was the case. She says it's always the rear driver's side and front passenger side locks not locking OR unlocking. Using the key doesn't make any difference either. It's a 2003 Vibe that I bought new in '02 and still has the original battery. The winters here in the Northwest get really cold and I think it is probably time for a new battery anyway. I had a problem a while back with a Pontiac Grand Am where the door locks were locking all by themselves and the Tachometer kept redlining for no reason. The problem after spending a lot of money at the Pontiac dealership was a dead cell in the battery.
That's an oddity. It could be a malfunction in the module that controls door locks. Also could be a problem within those two doors. Sounds like a dealer visit for sure.

I think I'm putting a new battery in this weekend anyway. If that doesn't fix it, I'll take it to the dealer and let everybody know what the problem was.SGT DUG
