This is Luna and Shep, ages five and six. They seldom stay still long enough to take a picture of them together. They are my kids. K9

I've never seen this thread before! Here's my S'kosh, age 9, in the sweater I knitted for her. She is my special needs baby. She has done some conformation shows, and therapy dog work. Now she's just the inspiration for my web site (hopefully that will be coming soon)

Rusty and and your Vibe have the exact same eyes. Is there something supernatural going on there?

i can attest to that lol... when i lived in florida we had a pink toed tarantula, a large iguana, a black widow(until it had about 200 babies... then we got rid of it), barn owl that our neighbor had shot, a kennel of chow's, a small bermese python, and other assorted strays adoptions and generally whatever my mom and i found lol...
thats a good list there... a barn owl would be amazing, even an injured one. A pink toe is my next creature... the arboreal terrarium is set and warm, I just need the beast.I dont really do the big lizards or snakes, i do love them and want an chameleon and an iguana too, oh and a green tree python would be cool, but with their requirements I just cant do it right now... one day, when i live in florida.if you can't tell this is my other major hobby. Cars and pets... hockey, golf and snowboarding are the favorite pastimes.

And the Pit is just speaking for a treat Warning: soapbox rant to follow...I've owned 2 pure pits in the past...the media has portrayed them in such a negative light, my homeowner's policy actually has a Pit Bull exclusion in it. It makes me angry to see people bash the breed. Pit Bulls actually have great temperaments around children. Pit Bulls didn't used to be viewed so negatively in American society. Petey from the Little Rascals was a pit and Helen Keller had a pit (just to name a few examples). Yet people who have never owned one love to blame the breed when an a-hole owner trained their particular dog to be aggressive. I now have a German Shepard/Pit mix (pg 8 of this thread, the bigger of my two dogs) and when my insurance company asked, I declared her as a Shepard mix. I think it's a shame that it's come to me not being able to own a pure breed Pit Bull anymore.Sorry to get on a soapbox.
certain homeowers policys state, rottys, pits, german shepards, and huskys, ownership of such dogs will void homeowers policy. It's only because of owners not being responsible enough to do the right thing with their dogs. Such as my bonehead neighbor who ownes a rotty and keeps it outside 24/7 in a 6'X9' kennel. The dog was never socilized so when it does get out I feel for anyone in it's path. Hopefully my boy Andrew won't be outside at that perticular time.

Since the last time I came here, major changes has been done on my pet list.I still have my cat Wisky, but I get few more pets....My boxer Scotch and the "something like a Shauzer and lassa apso" mix jack.I also get a rabbit named Bailey's and an hamster named PoppersHere a pic of my 2 dogs
Nice Shepherd, my favorite breed. My homeowner's insurance is with the Farm Bureau of North Carolina. Fortunately they don't have any dog rectrictions. They're pretty forgiving on that kind of thing since they mostly insure properties that in the country. Most companies wouldn't touch my house because it was built in 1900. They didn't bat an eye.

We lost our beloved companion, Lucky, this morning to a very aggressive bout with cancer (plasma cell myeloma). This is one of our favorite pics of him - riding in the car and ready to bark at the Whataburger window! Our house just got a lot bigger...
thats always a tough thing to deal with...I dread it when my boy Andrew and my girl Abbey go.... What a dirty boy??? Do you think he had fun at the dog park today? After his bath

My dad had to put my family dog, Squirt, down on Tuesday. He was 15. I remember when we got him - he was too afraid to walk on the cement patio as he had been part of a sled dog team. I will miss him.

OK MY TURN!!!!!!First off, is the wife's puppy.... cause the wife always has to come first... so here is phantom the new baby (we have had him for about a month)Now for our Pixie, she is our cat that we got when we first got together. She is older and rules the house (yes, she even punks the dog)Next is my baby.... this is G.I.R. (for any of you invader Zim fans, you understand the name). we got him about three months ago.... he kinda came with the new house....And last, my favorite.... the DIAPER BABY!!!, lol, how cute is that?
OK OK OK One more. This is me and GIR (my Favorite excetp the baby) he always falls asleep in my arms. He will always fall asleep upside down on my lap too (I will get a pic later), isn't he cute? Oh and all of you wondering, the wife wanted you to know, the puppy is a pure bread German Shepard, that we got free. I guess that's good or something.
wow Glenn im sorry i feel for you and your family. i give my condolences to you. i am also sorry for this late reply. i too lost one of my favorite dogs almost a year ago. (see i think its page 9 or 8).well here are some updated pics.the youngest, baby (Loves to be held like one)the next is Jazmineand now my baby, Annie
I love holding the pets like that... but most don't like it. Our little grey cat is the only one. The Dog (K-NINE, I think of you when I see him, only cause he is a German Shep.) sometimes lets me, but that's only cause he is a baby right now (only 5-6 weeks)
That puppy picture brings back such memories! Yes, I love Shepherds! And you got it for free???? That's terrific. People pay alot of money for Shepherd puppies, especially if they're AKC registered. It's good to let the cat kick the puppy's but a couple times. It'll respect that cat even when it's 10 times the cat's size.
