Tien s tech springs

Post by kevera »

HI all,I was wondering if the tien s tech springs that are for the Trix will fit the vibe.I can only see the fitment for the toyota and not the pontiac. Also,Do you need a camber kit for these springs. Thanks

They do fit the vibe, but make sure you get ones that fit trix xr or base = vibe basetrix xrs = vibe gttrix awd = vibe awdand no you do not need a camber kit, just get an alignment done after the springs are installed and youve driven for about 2 weeks.(i forgot if the springs are different for each model of vibe/trix )

you may need a camber kit to adjust the rear alignment if its out. But thats a "maybe" I know I did but I know ppl who didn't.

How is the camber adjusted in the rear?

its non-adjustable which is why you'll need the kits. The kit looks like a disc thats hollow in the middle. You have the alignment machine tell you what setting to turn the disc to and then you put that disc between the hub and the axle assy and rebolt it back on. This sets the camber. I'll see if I can get pics of mine to show what I mean.

Ramenboy-did you use the camber kit,and does the vibe feel tighter in turns with a little less body roll, cuz that p#$s me off, plus say no to wheel gap.

the front is adjustable, no kit required. The rear however is non-adjustable unless you buy a kit. But no point in buying the kit until you see if the rear will even be out. It may not be out. I know mine was after lowering the car. But for the $12 the kit was from NAPA I'd hold off until you get the alignment inspected at least. Thats my advice.

hey keveramavrik made a good point. but i have no camber kit. didn't need it. maybe depends on your wheel/tire comboyes, a very noticeable difference in cornering. negligible body roll. definiteley a nice tight ride.
