K&N filter recharge kits???

does this work well enough?How long between recharges (real life, not suggested)?better than just cleaning?

I find the Recharge kits are for cleaning.. they usually come with Cleaner and the oil.. I usually clean my filter 1-2 times a year.. but obviously the more dirtier/kms you do, its worth to clean it more often.. in the long run it will be cheaper to clean a K&N air filter than buying a new crappy stock air filter every 20,000 kms..cheersMartin

yup the recharge kits are worth it, ill be cleaning my CAI filter before snow so id say at least twice a year for cleaning.

Same here, 2-3 times a year. I'm looking at getting the 'new' oil-less ones. Haven't heard much about them though.

I have that recharge kit, and it has two seperate bottles. One called "fileter oiling", and one called "filter cleaning"

i thought the whole point of these filters was that they were oiled....cause the filter can allow more air in while the oil traps the particulate matter.

you can get them at any auto parts store, not sure how much, but cheaper than $16 for sure.

after you oil you just want to make sure...100% SURE that its dry. if you over oil your filter it will cause a CEL and dirty the MAF. so when i oiled mine i left it sit over night.
