filled out the form last night and i should get my new battery in 20 business days...i always thought my laptop got pretty warm...but i think the issue is more about a 'weak spot' in the battery than just high temperature.
I have signatures turned off so I'm not even sure what mine says in this space!

If the short is small enough, the battery will slowly drain and just get hot, but if it happens quickly, the gasses build up and the sucker blows.
