Detroit metro airport is about 30 minutes from Downtown Detroit so you will have to factor that in. 1. The Henry Ford Museum and Greenfield Village will be fairly close. They are in Dearborn and are readily available.

Unfortunately with your short layover you can't catch our league-leading Detroit Tigers dominate at Comerica Park.4. Just wandering around downtown Detroit would be nice, especially along the Riverfront by the Renaissance Center (GM's headquarters). It might surprise you how nice it actually can be. Detroit is always getting a bad rap in the national media. I'm not saying we don't have our problems but....5. Take a ride up Jefferson Avenue along Lake St. Clair and see some of the big houses in Grosse Pointe plus it is a nice drive.6. Take a drive to Belle Isle (right off Jefferson). It is a nice island in the Detroit River that is basically a giant park. Also home to the Detoit Yacht Club along with the recently close Aquarium. That's my 2-cents, hopefully it helps.Mike
