Aftermarket Clutch for GT/XRS?

Post by Herb »

I wanted to see if people who have purchased aftermarket clutches for their GT/XRS could post in a single thread of what they got, with impressions and costs. There seems to be alot of stray bits of info and I thought it would be nice to have the information consolodated with a sticky.I don't have as much time as I used to so purusing and researching old posts isn't my speed. That and I'm lazy. While I'm not having major issues yet after 60, 000km, I do know it isn't what I remember being like.

Local shop, 6-puck ceramic for around $250. Doesn't slip, stalled it a lot when I first had it put in because it just...'gripped'. Been in since January with no problems (better not be for a while)Still on stock flywheel.

i never replaced mine, however, i do know an XRS member who replaced his with the TRD clutch. it went out as well and now has an ACT performance clutch. says it's much much better and lot more heavy duty. hope that helps.
